Working Holiday Visa (Subclass 462)
Overview:
Holders of the Working Holiday Visa (Subclass 462) can engage in cultural exchange activities and tourism in Australia. Additionally, visa holders can:
- Stay in Australia for up to 12 months after the first entry.
- Work in Australia for up to 12 months, with a maximum of six months with a single employer.
- Study for up to four months.
General Eligibility Requirements for Chinese Applicants:
- Hold a valid Chinese passport.
- Be aged 18 to 31 at the time of application.
- Do not have dependent children accompanying them to Australia.
- Have sufficient funds to support their working holiday in Australia (at least AUD 5000).
- Have enough funds to purchase a return or onward travel ticket at the end of their working holiday.
- Not have previously held a Subclass 417 visa to Australia.
- Have tertiary qualifications or have completed at least two years of university study.
- Possess a basic level of English proficiency (equivalent to an IELTS score of 4.5 or above).
- Meet character and health requirements.
- Be a genuine visitor to Australia.
